Things we know about our produce and meat…

Are you the least bit curious about where your food comes from? If you’re not, you should be. With all the rumors, misinformation, special interests, it’s very difficult to know exactly what is true, and how it affects you.

Here at DHA Family Farms, aka Four Country Gals, here’s what we know to be true. When you purchase produce from us, it is grown organically. We are Certified Organic, and that means we must track everything, be subject to audit, and testing of both our soil and our plants. We can tell you beyond a shadow of doubt exactly how our produce is raised, and why we believe it is healthy, succulent, safe to eat, and good for you.

Our lambs, goats and rabbits are all raised on our local farm, never leaving us to go “to the mountain”.¬† We feed 100% alfalfa (generally 2nd cutting),

Dowtown Cedar City Farmer’s Market this evening

This is it! Our last official visit to the Downtown Farmer’s Market this year.

We had been telling folks we wouldn’t be there because we hit a deer last Wednesday night on our way home from the Downtown Farmer’s Market. The truck was only drivable when we went straight, couldn’t turn left without the spoiler gouging our tire.

However, the insurance adjuster helped us cut away the broken parts and voila! The truck is drivable.

That means we’re coming to the Downtown Farmer’s Market today.

We’re bringing Butternut Squash, Spaghetti Squash, Sugar Sweet Pie Pumpkins, and broccoli. We’ll also have a few red raspberries from Shoal Creek Berries.

Now, listen up!

Farmer’s Market again. Raspberries, veggies, herbs, goats…

Yeah, goats! We have two bucklings and a sister doeling for sale. Reserve them today, or they’re going to auction tomorrow. At just under 6 months old, they should be very good on the grill or barbecue.

We have raspberries, red and golden this week. If you want just a pint or two, they’re $3.75 per pt. We’ll get you a half-flat (6 pts) for $19.00. For you serious food preservers, we have flats at $37.50 or can deliver multiple flats. Buy 2-5 at $34.00 each or 6 or more at $30.00 per flat.

Delivery will be to the IFA Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning at 9 AM.

The veggies and herbs have been hanging in, even though¬† we’ve been frosted a couple of times. Soon we should be into the winter squash and pumpkins.

Want Raspberries? We’ll meet you half way

Know where Silver Peak Supply is located? It’ on Hwy 56 just over the mountains to the west out of Cedar City.

Four Country Gals will be selling the famous “Mile High Berries” from Shoal Creek Berries at Silver Peak Supply.

We expect to be there during the week with the exception of Wednesdays, as that’s our normal Downtown Farmer’s Market day.

So, tomorrow, Sept 11, I will be sitting at Silver Peak Supply in Newcastle (right on Hwy 56) from about 10AM until I run out of berries. I expect to run out fairly soon, as I have only 5 flats to start.

Please… help me with these precious, luscious berries. I’ll have access to red, black, golden and kiwi raspberries, as well as blackberries.

To pre-order, call 435-868- three-zero-24 or drop an e-mail to we4gals at

It’s Raspberry Time!

Finally, after weeks of anticipation, we will be at the Cedar City IFA Farmer’s Market, Saturday Morning, September 8 at 9AM.

We will have 6 flats of the famous “Mile High Raspberries” from our friends at Shoal Creek Berries.

Each year, we serve as their “off farm” sales reps, so they can concentrate on serving folks who come to u-pick and enjoy the beauty of their farm.

Darrel and Karen trust us to put their berries in the best light, and to confidently represent them at the markets in Cedar City. WE ARE HONORED TO REPRESENT THEM!

So, here’s what you need to do.
