We’re open for business at is open for business!

Our commercial kitchen is complete, has passed inspection and has become Utah Dept of Ag Certified. Along with that, our milk barn was certified, so we’re now milking a half dozen darling does, and producing batches of our ooey-gooey, udderly addictive, love in the jar, Traditional Mexican Cajeta.

This goat milk based caramel sauce will make any dessert out of this world, crazy good.

Here’s what we’ve done to bring you this awesome sauce.

First, we had to develop our goat herd. We’ve been working on this for the past 3 years, finally getting the point where we have enough goats to provide us milk on a regular basis. We’re developing our own line of Alpine/Nubian cross goats, maintaining a high fat content while improving on overall milkability, and quantity of milk. We personally smell and taste each goat’s output daily.

Last fund raising campaign before the Cajeta launch

[hmtad name=”Indegogo ” align=”floatleft”]Announcing our last fund raising effort before launching the Traditional Mexican Cajeta.

We can’t wait for FedEx to determine whether we’ve won or not.

Please, take the time to view the video, read our story, choose your favorite perk, and contribute. It’s that easy.

If you are financially unable to donate, we understand. However, we’re all able to get the word out, and that is as important as donating.

A Spring awakening at Four Country Gals

Time for a new look! We’ve hired a graphics arts/designer to create a new, lighter, more updated look as we move towards the launch of our Traditional Mexican Cajeta, goat’s milk-based caramel sauce. We’ve reviewed the material, and have asked for an invoice. Just as soon as we’ve paid for her work, then I will begin the  process of updating our websites.

I’ll update Cajeta Lovers USA first, as it is currently the newest site and generates the least amount of traffic. I don’t expect any problems, but I’ve been around IT, and software long enough to know that things happen.

app image Along with the new look, we’ve created a mobile app so you can keep up with us at any time. On that app, you’ll find access to recent blog posts, tweets, Facebook messages, directions to our place, and you’ll be able to directly access our Open Sky page,

FedEx Small Business Grant Competition: why we want to win

There’s another competition and we’ve been selected to participate. This one is the FedEx Small Business Grant Competition. It’s a national competition. That means the competition is stiff. With your consistent, daily vote through Feb 23, we have a good chance to be selected.

Our Grant request is very straight forward. We will use the funding to help  us purchase a piece of equipment that we shouldn’t need, but may very well be required to have. It’s a make or break for the project, as it’s more than  60% of our budget. There is  little way to save on  other stuff to allow us to purchase this.

Here’s the piece of equipment:

A 4 Gallon Legal Table Top Vat Pasteurizer for $3900

Chart Recorder   Table Top Vat Pasteurizer
  • A legal 4 gallon pasteurizer (3-A Approved) available with either 110V or 220V heating elements
  • Chart recorder with digital indicating thermometers,
